Structure & Working Principle
The LOX storage tank consists of inner vessel, vacuum insulation layer and outer shell. Even with vacuum insulation, external heat ingress cannot be completely avoided. Compared with high‑pressure oxygen cylinders, the tank shell uses thinner material, equipped with vent piping and valves. Exhaust of vaporized oxygen removes heat to maintain stable tank temperature.
Insufficient heat inside will lead to low internal pressure, so warming circuit and pressure‑building valve are adopted. The warming circuit works by natural convection of liquid oxygen without pump, simply drawing ambient heat. The boiling point of liquid oxygen is ‑183℃. The tank is fitted with protection frame, pressure gauge and other accessories. Some valves can close automatically, while the pressure‑building valve is for manual pressure regulation.
Factory Inspection
Each tank undergoes strict tests before delivery:
- Low‑temperature test to guarantee equipment qualification;
- Vacuum degree test for excellent thermal insulation performance;
- Pressure test to verify pressure‑bearing capacity;
- Ultrasonic flaw detection to ensure zero damage, zero leakage and zero rust.
Piping Advantages
Optimized piping layout, double‑valve structure for liquid inlet & outlet for easy maintenance. Three‑way valve design allows inspection and replacement of accessories without shutting down the whole unit. Multiple safety components ensure safe operation.
