Tank Container Series‑Liquid Carbon Dioxide ISO Tank Container

Tank Container Series‑Liquid Carbon Dioxide ISO Tank Container

Product Overview

Liquid Carbon Dioxide (LCO₂) ISO Tank Container is a mobile vacuum‑insulated pressure vessel, manufactured in compliance with ISO container standards and IMDG international maritime dangerous goods code. UN No.: UN2187, T75 tank type. It supports multi‑modal transport including road, railway and sea shipping for long‑distance transportation and on‑site temporary storage of liquid carbon dioxideMade-in-Ch....

The mainstream 20‑ft model has a volume of 18‑22m³; 10ft and 30ft customized versions are available. Working pressure ranges from 0.9‑2.2MPa. It can load both food‑grade and industrial‑grade liquid CO₂. Direct unloading to end‑users is available without intermediate transfer, ideal for global gas supply chains.

Medium Specifications

Liquid Carbon Dioxide (LCO₂): Critical temperature 31.1℃, triple‑point ‑56.6℃. Colorless, odorless, non‑flammable gas. Requires pressurized & low‑temperature storage to avoid vaporization.

Structure & Materials
  1. Inner Vessel: Austenitic stainless steel S30408 or low‑temperature pressure‑vessel steel 16MnDR, good low‑temperature toughness and CO₂ corrosion resistance.
  2. Outer Shell: Pressure‑vessel carbon steel Q345R, protects vacuum interlayer and bears external load.
  3. Insulation System: High‑vacuum multi‑layer winding insulation / vacuum powder perlite insulation. Sorbents installed inside interlayer to sustain high vacuum and reduce boil‑off loss.
  4. ISO Frame: Standard container corner castings for lifting, stacking and intermodal handling.
  5. Piping & Valves: Cryogenic stainless‑steel pipelines with liquid inlet/outlet, gas‑phase and pressurization circuits. Dual‑valve & three‑way‑valve layout inside protective cabinet for easy maintenance.
  6. Safety & Instrumentation: Dual safety valves, rupture disc, pressure gauge, differential‑pressure level gauge, vacuum valve. Optional remote pressure‑level transmitters and emergency shut‑off valve.
Key Features

‑ Standard ISO dimension for seamless multi‑modal transport, no tank‑to‑tank transfer, lower logistics cost.

‑ Double‑wall vacuum insulation for low boil‑off rate during long‑haul delivery.

‑ Redundant pressure‑relief system with dual safety valves for over‑pressure protection.

‑ Integrates transportation, temporary storage and unloading functions. Ready for pipeline connection upon arrival.

‑ Fully certified for mobile pressure vessel, complete documentation for export projects.

‑ Customizable volume, pressure rating and instrument package for food‑grade or industrial‑grade working conditions.

Factory Acceptance Tests

Every tank container undergoes strict inspections before delivery:

  1. Hydrostatic strength test and gas‑tightness test for inner vessel;
  2. Interlayer high‑vacuum degree test to guarantee thermal insulation performance;
  3. 100% ultrasonic flaw detection for welds to eliminate crack and leakage risk;
  4. Helium mass‑spectrometer leak detection for interlayer and piping system;
  5. Calibration for all valves and safety accessories;
  6. Frame strength & corner‑casting load test with full inspection certificates provided.
Applications

Food & beverage carbonation, dry‑ice production, welding shielding, chemical synthesis, oil‑field flooding, CCUS carbon capture & storage, fire‑protection, scientific laboratories and international industrial‑gas supply chains.
