Tank Container Series‑LNG ISO Tank Container

Tank Container Series‑LNG ISO Tank Container

Product Overview

LNG ISO Tank Container is a mobile high‑vacuum insulated pressure vessel, designed and manufactured complying with ISO container standards and IMDG international maritime dangerous goods code. UN No.: UN1972, T75 tank type. It supports multi‑modal transport of road, railway and sea for long‑distance transportation and temporary on‑site storage of liquefied natural gas at ‑162℃.

Main specifications: 20ft (18‑22m³), 40ft (40‑46m³); working pressure ranges from 0.8‑2.2MPa. It can connect with vaporizer skid directly without intermediate tank transfer. Widely used for distributed LNG energy, refueling station supplement, remote‑area gas supply and global LNG supply‑chain logistics.

Medium Specifications

Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG): Main component methane, boiling point‑162℃, flammable cryogenic medium. Maximum filling ratio ≤90% for vaporization expansion allowance.

Structure & Materials
  1. Inner Vessel: Austenitic stainless steel S30408, excellent low‑temperature toughness for‑196℃ service, direct contact with LNG medium.
  2. Outer Shell: Pressure‑vessel carbon steel Q345R, protects vacuum interlayer and bears external load and frame force.
  3. Insulation System: High‑vacuum multi‑layer winding insulation. Sorbents installed inside interlayer to sustain high vacuum and reduce boil‑off loss for long holding time.
  4. ISO Frame: Standard container corner castings for lifting, stacking and intermodal transport, certified with CSC safety approval.
  5. Piping & Valves: Cryogenic stainless‑steel pipelines with liquid inlet/outlet, gas‑phase and pressurization circuits. Dual‑valve & three‑way‑valve layout inside protective cabinet for easy maintenance.
  6. Safety & Instrumentation: Dual safety valves, rupture disc, pressure gauge, differential‑pressure level gauge, vacuum valve. Optional remote pressure‑level transmitters, emergency shut‑off valve and gas‑leak detection alarm.
Key Features

‑ Standard ISO dimension for seamless multi‑modal transport, no tank‑to‑tank transfer and lower logistics costCIMC ENRIC.

‑ High‑vacuum multi‑layer insulation for low boil‑off rate and outstanding long‑haul cold‑retention performance.

‑ Redundant dual pressure‑relief system to handle pressure rise caused by LNG vaporization for safe operation.

‑ Integrates transportation, temporary storage and gas‑supply functions. Ready for connection with vaporizer & pressure‑regulating skid upon arrival.

‑ Full set of export certifications for mobile pressure vessels, compliant with IMDG, ADR, RID and other international codes for overseas projects.

‑ Customizable volume, pressure rating and instrument package for diverse working conditions.

Factory Acceptance Tests

Strict inspections performed for every tank container before delivery:

  1. Hydrostatic strength test and gas‑tightness test for inner vessel;
  2. Interlayer high‑vacuum degree test to guarantee cryogenic thermal insulation;
  3. 100% ultrasonic flaw detection for welds to eliminate crack and leakage risk;
  4. Helium mass‑spectrometer leak‑detection for interlayer and piping system;
  5. Calibration for all valves and safety accessories;
  6. Frame strength & corner‑casting load test with full third‑party inspection certificates provided.
Applications

LNG satellite vaporization stations, LNG refueling station supplement, distributed energy projects, industrial self‑gas‑supply, marine bunkering, remote‑area energy supply and international LNG trade & logistics.
